Workshop aims to collectively reflect on the standards of university accessibility for people with diverse needs, particularly those with disabilities. Participants will learn about the Jagiellonian University's achievements in the area of architectural, digital and informational accessibility, reasonable adjustments for students, as well as the Individual Evacuation Plans program for people with specific needs. This material will serve as a basis for joint reflection on what is and what can be the standard of accessibility between closely cooperating universities. Participants are encouraged to consider in advance what accessibility experiences their universities have and to share them during the discussion. We welcome both those who are more advanced in implementing accessibility and those whose universities are just beginning such activities.

The workshop concerns the establishment of a delegation of the Jagiellonian University in VR, developed within Academia Electronica in the virtual world “Spatial”, where the Futurological Center (CF) is currently being created. This serves as a contribution to showcasing the development of Academia Electronica itself but, above all, highlights the process of the Jagiellonian University's expansion into virtual reality. Taking into account relevant literature on VR, the presentation focuses on the creation of a virtual space where part of the Jagiellonian University has been established, alongside the transfer of certain academic activities from the physical world. The topic addresses the deepening mediation through networks, in this case through a direct and literal experiment, emphasizing the significance of emerging representations of universities in VR as a future oriented vision of their functioning in the Metaverse.
